The City of Newcastle has been operating Family Day Care services in the local government area since 1979. The scheme is accredited by the National Childcare Accreditation Council and licensed by Community Services.
Currently the scheme supports approximately 70 educators in the City of Newcastle Local Governernment Area.
In partnership with Samaritans Foundation, Newcastle Five Star Family Day Care, offer childcare and supported playgroup for families utilising the Brighter Futures program.
