Five Star Family Day Care quality assurance is governed by the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC). As part of their accreditation each carer must meet national requirements in early childhood and childcare skills and also in planning, administration and communications. All carers and household members must also have passed a police or criminal history check and carers must be fully insured with a current First Aid certificate. Another important requirement that forms part of accreditation is the stipulation that each carer must maintain a safe childcare environment.
