ARE YOU INTERESTED IN OPERATING YOUR OWN BUSINESS FROM HOME?

Five Star Family Day Care Carers enjoy operating their own business, in their own home with the support of Coordination Unit staff. Carers program and plan for children to support them to learn, grow and discover, in a safe and secure environment. Family Day Care also offers the opportunity for Carers to stay at home with their own children while still earning an income.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• You enjoy being with and respect children
• You can provide a warm, secure and family-focussed environment for children
• You demonstrate adequate knowledge, understanding and experience with children (aged 6 weeks to 12 years) and are capable of meeting their needs
• You are in good health and have the personality to care for children
• You would like to run your own business from home
• You are a person of good character who can provide work-related references to testify to this
• You hold (or are you willing to obtain) a current First Aid Certificate
• You are willing to undergo a Police Check and Working With Children Check
  Prohibited persons are ineligible to apply.
• You are aged 18 years or over

Five Star welcomes carers with existing childcare qualifications, but is also able to provide full training to potential carers. Carer Orientation Training is held throughout the year as required; for more information please contact the Five Star Family Day Care scheme closest to you.
